The library allows users to conveniently borrow their desired books at anytime and anywhere with one membership card


Chaengnarae(interlibrary loan) Service

  • If your favorite library does not have the books you want, you can get them from other libraries via this service.
  • Number of books allowed to checkout : 5 books
  1. After a data search, select a library,
    and apply for Chaengnarae(mutual loan) Service
  2. Visit the library
    after receiving SMS
  3. Check out books after presenting
    your library card

Mobile Library

  • 「Gwanak-gu Integrated Library」App Installation
    • Provide services of library location search/ book search/ interlibrary loan/ electronic book library

U-Library

  • Apply for your desired books via unmanned automatic machines in subway stations and receive books
  • Number of books allowed to checkout : 2 books
  • How to Use
    1. Select U-library
      after a data search
    2. Visit a subway station
      after receiving SMS
    3. Scan membership card
      and enter password
    4. Checkout
      books

Smart Library

  • Checkout bestsellers and newly-released books via unmanned automatic machines
  • Installed Locations : Sillim Station
  • Number of books allowed to checkout : 2 books per person (Loan Period 7 days, Cannot extend return date)
  • How to Use
    1. Select your desired books
      from the smart library
    2. Scan your library membership card
      and enter password
    3. Checkout
      books

Issuance of library membership cards

  • Application eligibility : Seoul citizens, workers and students in Seoul
  • Application method : Walk-in application at a nearby library and register while using the app of Gwanak-gu Integrated Library
  • Receipt of Membership card : Visit the library after applying
  • Issuance required date : Libraries equipped with an issuance machine can issue the card instantly, but other libraries take 3-4 days
  • Required documents : [Adults] ID, [Teens] student ID or youth ID card, [Children] Guardian’s ID (accompany with guardian)andcopy of resident registration (Children under 14 years of age need an approval from their guardian)
  • Fees : free of charge for new cards; 1,000 won to reissue
